My work is meditative, combining traditional aspects of studio photography with unconventional modes of self-portraiture. Through performance and intervention, I investigate relationships between the body and the environment, both natural and constructed. As an artist, I am motivated to make discoveries, communicate desires, and critique the sociopolitical conditions I exist under. Through self-portraiture, my work explores themes of identity and considers determination over one's own photographic history. My practice continues to emerge through large format photography, digital workflows, darkroom printing, and studio lighting.
